Hi, Aunt Jean here. I’m thinking ahead to tonight when I watch my first NASCAR race, the Budweiser Shootout. This race is an important qualifier for the 2012 Sprint Cup Series.
Being such a newbie, I am thinking about what would be important to watch for in a race. The drivers, of course, pull a lot of focus. Who do you think will take the highest points in this race?
For no reason whatsoever, I’m going to say my esp was in high gear if Kyle Busch comes out on top. Who do you think has the best chance?
More important, however, than who wins, is that all the driver’s remain safe during the entire race. But, get real, crashes and close calls do add to the thrill of the race. I’ll be interested in hearing your opinions on the moment that was the ultimate nail-biter.
Being the softy that I am, I’m also going to be watching for those heart-warming moments when an underdog was able to take the limelight. The times when people just can’t stay in their seats in anticipation of an outcome.
Scott can tell us his views on Monday when he makes his next blog entry. He can read your comments and compare them with his own experiences. Thanks for visiting!

Oh, my goodness! I was correct in my prediction of who would win! My sweet mother always keeps m&m’s around for her guests to enjoy. So that was the reason behind my choice. Or…was it…esp? hehehe

There is also speculation that Budweiser will no longer be sponsor of ‘Shootout’, considering Coors Light sponsors the pole award. NASCAR
NASCAR is back Yeah……..Can hardly wait for the Daytona 500. Maybe one of these years we will be able to actually see the race in person. Boy, there were some wild crashes in the shootout. 2 bad Junior was caught in the middle of one.
